Winning history: 2019 ACT Book of the Year

On the 6 February 2020 the 2019 ACT Book of the Year was announced by the Minister for the Arts, Creative Industries and Cultural Events, Gordon Ramsay.

Highly commended was the history Wild Sea: A History of the Southern Ocean by Joy McCann. Also recognised in this year’s awards were:

  • The Book of Colours by Robyn Cadwallader (ACT’s Book of the Year)

  • Made by Humans: The AI Condition by Ellen Broad (Highly Commended)

  • One by Andrew Hutchinson (Shortlisted)

  • Mirror Me by Rachel Sanderson (Shortlisted)

  • Things I’ve Thought to Tell You Since I Saw You Last by Penelope Layland (Shortlisted).
